Millennia Technologies at The ShoreTelOne Conference
Millennia Technologies had the opportunity to attend the ShoreTelOne conference in Kissimmee, Florida at the Gaylord Palms Hotel and Resort December 5-8, 2016. The conference allowed for us to gain an enhanced understanding of new disruptive technology and the IP Telephony systems we implement. The conference served as an opportunity to learn more about future integrations, suggested verticals, and more about what is working when it comes to serving our customers the best way possible.
ShoreTelOne Conference Highlights:
With well over a 1,000 attendees, the ShoreTelOne Conference was a booming success.
Attendees learned about:
- Strategic alignment opportunities with ShoreTel solutions
- Networking with ShoreTel executives, industry analysts, customers, etc.
- New ways to add value for customers
- Actionable ideas for growing businesses into 2017 and beyond
Keynotes and Breakout Sessions
The breakout sessions were hosted by ShoreTel reps speaking about specific verticals, new opportunities, disruptive technology and much more.
Attendees were privileged to listen to the CEO of ShoreTel, Don Joos, CMO, Mark Roberts, Senior VP, Eugenia Corrales, and even Guy Kawasaki, formerly of Apple, who gave a terrific speech on The Art of Innovation. The host for our keynotes was comedian Scott Bloom, which never allowed for a dull moment even between keynote speakers. The final night, ShoreTel hosted a 3 Doors Down concert where we had a chance to listen to some classic old jams, like Kryptonite.

Verticals and Technology
The $12B Disconnect in Healthcare which touched on the average 23% patient no-shows that take place in the U.S. and how having the right phone system can help prevent this with things like SMS messaging before an appointment. Click here to learn more.
The Education Vertical which is based around efficient and safe schools. ShoreTel Emergency Notifications are designed to alert key teams/individuals in emergency situations and our phones can even work with your intercom system in a lockdown situation through automation and this has proven to bring more of a sense of calm, rather than if a human voice was announcing the situation.
The Financial Industry Vertical is important to us as we believe our phone systems can benefit any financial company with security as well as integrated business intelligence: ShoreTel integrations with advanced CRM, call accounting and ERP applications amplify business process effectiveness by giving service reps and tellers quick access to account history and transaction information.

We also learned about other new disruptive technology like ShoreTel Summit, a true Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) solution for building voice and SMS apps as well as the Google Integrations that will come to ShoreTel in the Spring of 2017. The Google Integration will be an in-browser Google Chrome app that will allow users to sync google contacts, google calendars, and much more.
The ShoreTelOne App and Klik
For the first time since the convention’s conception, ShoreTel teamed up with PixMob, an event technology company that provides beacon wristbands known as Kliks. The light-up wristbands did away with the need for business cards because simply bumping wristbands exchanged contact information right through the web-app. The Klik profiles included basic contact information and would allow for easy access to your set of collected contacts, eliminating the need to enter everyone’s data manually. On top of the colorful wristbands improving networking, they also lit up the crowd throughout keynote speeches and especially during the 3 Doors Down Concert.
The ShoreTelOne App, hosted by Double Dutch, allowed for attendees to connect through a private social media platform. By posting pictures, status updates, and checking-in to the breakout sessions, guests could share exciting news through these technological conference solutions. Check our amazing photos below, including the Klik wristband.

Overall, The conference was a great networking event for partners and sponsors alike. We enhanced our understanding of new disruptive technology in our industry and brought all of that knowledge back to icy Michigan to better serve our customers. We are already looking forward to the next ShoreTelOne Conference!
